Rajkotupdates.news: Microsoft adds Bing Chat AI to SwiftKey Keyboard on Android devices

Bing Chat AI integration on Microsoft SwiftKey lets users chat with Bing on any app that uses SwiftKey.

Microsoft has now introduced the Bing chatbot on SwiftKey Keyboard on Android devices. This will allow users to chat with Bing on any application that uses SwiftKey. The new feature is rolling out to SwiftKey beta users. With the latest integration, users will be able to retype any text inside the keyboard as well as search the web to find exactly what they're looking for. Microsoft SwiftKey beta for Android can be downloaded from the Play Store. It is to be noted that the update is only available for Android users.

The integration of Bing Chat AI with SwiftKey was announced by Microsoft's Chief Technology Officer, Pedram Rezaei. He shared that the new AI tool is "slowly rolling out" to users and can be accessed by downloading the SwiftKey beta app from the Play Store. Once installed, SwiftKey beta users will be able to access Microsoft's Bing chatbot with a single tap in any application using SwiftKey.

As per the details shared by The Verge, Bing Chat AI integration in Swiftkey comes with chat mode and tone mode. Chat mode allows users to access the chatbot while Tone mode allows users to retype text directly from the keyboard.

Notably, this feature is currently only available for Android, and there's no word on when it might arrive on iOS. It is likely to appear on the iPhone soon.

Microsoft dropped SwiftKey support for iOS last year, however, it later brought the app back to the App Store, pledging to "invest heavily in the keyboard". For the uninitiated, the Microsoft SwiftKey keyboard for Android and iPhone is a keyboard that adapts to what the user types, including words, phrases and emojis, and correct typos and misspellings.
